August 2011 : UNUSUAL CARGO FOR PIONER MOLDAVII

During August 2011, the PIONER MOLDAVII owned by Northern Shipping Company made a long and unique voyage from Larvik in Norway to Kholmsk (Sakhalin Island), cruising along the Northern Sea route. The vessel loaded a heavy and oversized cargo on her deck, technical structures developped by "Gazprom" in the project "Sakhalin-3" for gaz production in Far East Russia. The vessel had to be adapted to load this cargo 2,65 meters wider than her. PIONER MOLDAVII began her journey along the route of the Northern Sea Route under a partial or complete lack of visibility. August 6, icebreaker TAIMYR went to open the road to Pioner Moldavii in the East Siberian Sea. Ice was too thick. In late August, PIONER MOLDAVII arrived in Kholmsk, where the cargo was loaded onboard the Norwegian specialized vessel NORMAND OCEANIC. Then The ship headed up to Vanino's port to load a cargo and turned back to Arkhangelsk where she arrived during September. Arkhangelsk - Norway - Northern Sea Route - Kholmsk (Sakhalin Island) - Vanino - Northern Sea Route - Arkhangelsk! More than 20.000 nautic miles for the crew and the ship in the hard conditions of the Arctic Russia! Congratulation!

Août 2011 : CHARGEMENT INHABITUEL POUR LE PIONER MOLDAVII

Au cours du mois d'août 2011, le PIONER MOLDAVII de la Northern Shipping Company a réalisé un long et unique voyage depuis Larvik en Norvège jusqu'à Kholmsk (Ile Sakhaline), navigant par la route du nord. Le navire a transporté une lourde cargaison surdimensionnée arrimée en pontée, une structure technique conçue par "Gazprom" pour le projet "Sakhalin-3" et qui servira à l'exploîtation du gaz en Russie orientale. Le navire a du subir des modifications pour transporter cette cargaison 2,65 mètres plus large que lui. Le PIONER MOLDAVII a commencé son voyage avec une visibilité partielle voire nulle. Le 6 août, le brise-glace TAIMYR est venu lui ouvrir la route à l'Est de la mer de Sibérie, la glace était trop épaisse. Fin août, le PIONER MOLDAVII est arrivé à Kholmsk, où sa cargaison a été transbordée à bord du navire spécialisé norvégien NORMAND OCEANIC. Le navire a alors mis le cap sur Vanino pour y charger une nouvelle cargaison et est revenu à Arkhangelsk début septembre. Arkhangelsk - Larvik - route du nord- Kholmsk (Ile de Sakhaline) - Vanino - Route du nord - Arkhangelsk! Plus de 20.000 miles nautiques pour l'équipage et son navire dans les difficiles conditions de la Russie Arctique! Bravo!
