The NIKOLAY SHCHUKIN, built by Vyborg Shipyard JSC, yard N° 707, enters service in 1975 for the Azov Shipping Company with IMO 7529689 and callsign UPHK. Her home port is Jdanov [Mariupol in the USSR time]. She is flying the soviet flag.
In 1989, Jdanov becomes Mariupol again.
In 1992, Ukraine regains its indépendance, the NIKOLAY SHCHUKIN is now flying the Ukrainian flag and becomes the property of the Ukrainian government.
In 1997, she becomes the property of the Azov Shipping Company, she takes the callsign UZMP.

En 2002, the Azov Shipping Co knows severe financial problems. The NIKOLAY SHCHUKIN will pay the price of the crisis, she is sold to be broken up in Alang. She is reported beached on 11-01-2002.

En 1997, il devient la propriété de la compagnie Azov et prend l'indicatif UZMP.

En 2002, la compagnie Azov est en grande difficultés financières. Le NIKOLAY SHCHUKIN en fera les frais. Il est vendu aux chantiers de démolition d'Alang et est reporté beaché le 11-01-2002.
