The KONSTANTIN ZANKOV, built by Vyborg Shipyard JSC, yard N°706, IMO 7437991 and callsign UUQF, enters service in 1974 into the fleet of the Kamchatka Shipping Company. Her home port is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, she is flying the red flag of the USSR. In 1992, she takes the new flag of the Russian Federation, but remains into the fleet of the Kamchatka Shipping Co, now privatized. On July 12, 1994, the vessel is abandoned by the crew, because of a severe list, in position 22 40 N 117 00E, during a voyage from Hong Kong to Korea. She was subsequently taken in tow for Shantou but sank in position 23 31 N 117 06E 27 jul 1994.
